Tray Cleaning Features
The tray cleaning automation is a system designed to efficiently and effectively clean trays or containers used in food processing. This cleaning process is essential to ensure food hygiene and safety.
The trays used in the food industry are placed on a specially designed cleaning conveyor. This chamber is equipped with strategically located steam nozzles that spray hot, high-pressure steam onto the trays. The steam penetrates the food residues and other contaminants, helping to loosen and effectively remove them.
The system may also include a brushing or additional rinsing system to ensure thorough cleaning of the trays. These additional components can be integrated into the equipment or separate modules that are activated after the steam treatment.
The operation is controlled through a control panel or user interface. Parameters such as cleaning cycle duration, steam temperature and pressure, and other specific equipment settings can be set here. Once configured, the system can operate automatically, performing successive cleaning cycles to process multiple trays.

Advantages of the tray cleaning automation
- Cleaning Efficiency: High-temperature and high-pressure steam is extremely effective in removing food residues, grease, and other contaminants adhered to the trays.
- Reduced Water Consumption: Compared to conventional cleaning systems, this system requires 90% less water.
- Food Hygiene and Safety: It is a highly hygienic method as it eliminates the need for harsh chemicals.
- Versatility and Adaptability: These systems can be adapted to clean different types of trays and containers, including varying sizes, shapes, and materials.
- Time and Labor Savings: Automation enables faster and more efficient cleaning compared to manual methods.

FAQs
We understand that many questions may arise. Here are some of the most common ones.
There are no emissions beyond those produced in the electricity production process, so they can be neutral depending on the electric mix. Electric steam boilers are the present and future.
Absolutely. In fact, it is recommended for achieving maximum efficiency. There is no issue with remote control as long as it complies with current regulations.
A steam generator is a pressure equipment that, along with the pipeline network, is subject to regulatory control and complementary technical instructions, according to the Regulation published in Royal Decree 809/2021, of September 21st. The maintenance is divided into a part that is easily fulfilled by the owner:
- Familiarize oneself with and apply the manufacturer’s instructions regarding usage, safety measures, and maintenance.
- Do not put the installation into service or prevent the operation of pressure equipment if the requirements of the Regulation are not met.
- Maintain the following documentation of the pressure equipment while they are installed: Declaration of Conformity, manufacturer’s instructions (if applicable), and, if necessary, installation certificate, along with other supporting documentation (such as Installation Project, record of the last periodic inspection, certifications of equipment repairs or modifications, and any other documentation required by the corresponding complementary technical instruction of this regulation). Regarding content, please refer to Annex IV of the regulation. This documentation should be made available to the competent authority of the autonomous community and to the companies that perform maintenance, repair, or periodic inspections.
- Use the pressure equipment within the manufacturer’s intended operating limits and take them out of service if they no longer meet the necessary safety requirements.
- Perform maintenance on the installations, pressure equipment, safety accessories, and control devices in accordance with the operating conditions and manufacturer’s instructions with an examination at least once a year.
- Arrange for the required periodic inspections as stipulated in Article 6 of the regulation
- Maintain an up-to-date register of pressure equipment belonging to categories I to IV, as defined in RD 709/2015, dated July 24th, or equipment similar to those categories as per Article 3.2 of the regulation, as well as their installations.
It is known that by applying a heat source to water, it transforms into steam at the boiling point and at atmospheric pressure. From here, depending on the desired degree of steam saturation for its proper application, we may need to increase the pressure in order to achieve higher temperature. To change the temperature and degree of steam saturation, we will always need to adjust the pressure.
A bar is a unit of pressure equivalent to 1 kg/cm2, 0.98 atmospheres, or 14.50 PSI.
