The new line featured numerous <strong>conveyor belts<\/strong>, <strong>nooks and crannies<\/strong> and <strong>hard-to-reach areas<\/strong> &#8211; precisely the type of environment where steam cleaning provides the best results. However, the very configuration of the mezzanine precluded the use of the steam equipment already in the plant.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the one hand, the <strong>RGV-0010<\/strong> and <strong>RGV-0020<\/strong> generators, despite being <strong>mobile equipment on wheels<\/strong>, could not be hoisted up to the mezzanine due to <strong>access limitations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, even assuming they could climb, the aisles and workspaces on the upper floor were <strong>too narrow <\/strong>to allow for the usual movement of the machines along the production line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer was thus faced with a paradoxical situation: <strong>he had the technology to steam clean his new bakery line, but could not physically bring it to the point where it was needed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:64px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide are-vertically-aligned-center mb-0 has-body-main-color has-primary-20-background-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-5 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center dnone-tablet is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:4.3%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div style=\"height:72px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer dnone-tablet\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-h6 has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Proposed solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading text-h4\">Customized steam solution developed by Giconmes.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center dnone-tablet is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:8.3%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide has-body-main-color has-primary-20-background-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top dnone-tablet is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:4.3%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Proposed solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Giconmes<\/strong> came up with a practical solution adapted to the physical constraints of the plant: keep generators <strong>RGV-0010<\/strong> and <strong>RGV-0020<\/strong> on the ground floor and <strong>bring the steam to the mezzanine through a permanent fixed conduit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this way, heavy equipment <strong>would not have to be moved<\/strong>, and only hoses and fittings would have to be handled on the upper floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution is based on two key elements. First, the <strong>Harting fast connections<\/strong>, one of the differential components of <strong>Giconmes<\/strong> equipment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These <strong>multi-pin connectors for industrial use <\/strong>are <strong>extremely robust, watertight and safe<\/strong>, and allow <strong>steam hoses<\/strong> to be <strong>coupled and uncoupled quickly and without risk to the operator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondly, a <strong>1\/4&#8243; stainless steel fixed pipe<\/strong> with <strong>press fittings<\/strong>, installed vertically from the first floor to the mezzanine, in charge of transporting the pressurized steam from one level to the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stainless steel guarantees <strong>compatibility with steam and with the hygienic standards required in the food industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Day-to-day operation is simple. On <strong>the first floor<\/strong>, the <strong>RGV generator<\/strong> is connected to the lower end of the column via a Harting plug. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pressurized steam rises through the stainless steel piping to the <strong>upper floor<\/strong>, where another Harting outlet allows the operator to directly connect his flexible hose with the corresponding lance or brush and <strong>clean the conveyor belts and other production equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the cleaning <strong>operation<\/strong> on the mezzanine is <strong>identical to that in any other area of the plant<\/strong>, with the only difference being that the steam generator is located one level below. The only difference is that the steam generator is located one level below. The operator only has to climb up with the hose and accessories &#8211; light and easy to handle elements &#8211; <strong>without the need to move heavy equipment through narrow aisles, or to deal with the complexity of lifting machines up to the mezzanine<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p Maintenance is divided into a part that can be easily fulfilled by the owner: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"p1\">Know and apply the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions regarding use, safety measures, and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Not to put the installation into service or prevent the operation of pressure equipment if the requirements of the Regulation are not met.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Having at least the following documentation for the pressure equipment while they are installed: Declaration of conformity, manufacturer&#8217;s instructions (if applicable), and, if necessary, installation certificate, along with other supporting documentation (such as installation project, record of the last periodic inspection, certifications of equipment repairs or modifications, and any other documentation required by the relevant technical instruction complementary to this regulation).
