class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A well-known <strong>manufacturer of packaging machines<\/strong> for the <strong>food<\/strong> industry was developing a new <strong>thermoforming<\/strong> line for the <strong>packaging of processed cheese<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the process, it was necessary to <strong>inject steam directly into the container<\/strong> to generate a <strong>vacuum effect<\/strong>, ensure an <strong>airtight seal<\/strong> and <strong>guarantee the quality of the final product<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The customer was looking for an <strong>ad-hoc <a href=\"https:\/\/giconmes.es\/en\/steam-generators\/\">steam generation<\/a> system<\/strong> that would simultaneously meet several technical and integration requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Steam supply at <strong>3 bar <\/strong>pressure, with <strong>stability<\/strong> and <strong>precise control<\/strong> in each work cycle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reheating of the steam<\/strong> up to <strong>170 \u00b0C<\/strong>, to avoid condensation inside the container and to maintain the hygienic-sanitary conditions required by the food sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct contact of the steam with the product (melted cheese)<\/strong>, which implied guaranteeing a <a href=\"https:\/\/giconmes.es\/en\/steam-quality-applications-according-to-steam-purity\/\">steam quality<\/a> suitable for food use, without risk of contamination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All <strong>stainless steel AISI 304<\/strong> construction, both in the machine and in the auxiliary system, to withstand humid environments and CIP cleaning processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimated steam demand of approximately <strong>10 m\u00b3\/h<\/strong>, based on a production rate of <strong>8 cycles per minute<\/strong>, despite the lack of precise consumption data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Independent water treatment system<\/strong> to ensure a constant quality of feed water, eliminating salts, silica and any impurities that could affect the purity of the steam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Direct connection and integration of the steam system with the packer<\/strong>, including condensate return to the skid, to optimize energy efficiency and minimize thermal losses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Giconmes<\/strong> had to design a <strong>compact, hygienic and efficient<\/strong> system, able to adapt to the mechanical specifications of the machine and to guarantee a continuous and stable operation in a food environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:64px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a detailed study of the process requirements and the production cycle, the <strong>Giconmes<\/strong> technical team designed a <strong>customized steam system, compact, hygienic and completely integrated with the packaging machine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was determined that a <strong>10 kW<\/strong> <strong>electric steam generator<\/strong> was sufficient to meet the estimated demand of <strong>10 m\u00b3\/h<\/strong>, keeping the working pressure constant at <strong>3 bar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire assembly was manufactured entirely in <strong>AISI 304 stainless steel<\/strong>, including fairings, manifolds, tanks and structural frame, ensuring maximum durability and compliance with the requirements of the food environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system was mounted on a <strong>stainless steel skid <\/strong>with <strong>adjustable legs<\/strong>, which integrates all the elements necessary for the autonomous operation of the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Technology used:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-arrow-list\">\n<li>Electric steam generator Giconmes NGV1710 (10kW)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 micron clean steam filter, to ensure the culinary quality of the steam in direct contact with the product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete water treatment system with water softener and filtration, ensuring a pure and stable water supply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/giconmes.es\/en\/steam-generators\/accesories\/condensate-tank\/\">Condensate recovery tank<\/a>, which allows the return and reuse of the condensate generated, optimizing energy efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electric overheater, in charge of reheating the steam up to 170 \u00b0C, avoiding condensation in the molds and ensuring process sterility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PTFE \u00bc&#8221; BSP flexible connection pipe, with AISI 304 double internal mesh and external silicone coating, installed between the skid, the overheater, the machine molds and the condensate tank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The assembly was delivered ready to connect and prepared for direct integration with the customer&#8217;s packer, including all condensate return lines and safety accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is a compact, safe, food-compliant system capable of delivering clean, superheated steam continuously and stably throughout the packaging Maintenance is divided into a part that can be easily fulfilled by the owner: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"p1\">Know and apply the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions regarding use, safety measures, and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Not to put the installation into service or prevent the operation of pressure equipment if the requirements of the Regulation are not met.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Having at least the following documentation for the pressure equipment while they are installed: Declaration of conformity, manufacturer&#8217;s instructions (if applicable), and, if necessary, installation certificate, along with other supporting documentation (such as installation project, record of the last periodic inspection, certifications of equipment repairs or modifications, and any other documentation required by the relevant technical instruction complementary to this regulation).
